TV WALL SHELF

So you want to have a TV wall shelf now to have a better view.

One benefit is that you free up some space on the floor. Secondly a tv hung on the wall gives a better view in my personal experience though everyone has their own preference. Also, you can decorate the tv wall shelf and have a really nice looking wall. A TV wall shelf is really easy to build and put on the wall. If you are more of a do it yourself kind, you can easily build it at your own. I will list the steps down further.  You can also hire someone to build the same for you.

Get yourself a shelf board. You will need to paint it in your favourite colour and keep it away for drying. Now you need to decide where you are going to locate the shelf on the wall. Stick a bracket to the wall and mark the first set of holes. Now you need to take measure horizontally of a length equal to size of your TV. Mark this length for a second set of holes. Also, ensure that both set of holes are on the same level.

The anchors which you have bought will have information on the size of the drill bit which is needed to drill the holes in the wall and install the anchors. After you have the needed drill bit, make holes at the previously identified spots. You need to ensure that the depth of the holes will accommodate the anchors. The anchors should fit tightly in the holes for strength. Now put an e an anchor in each hole and tap lightly with a hammer to ensure sure that it is horizontal. After the anchors are fixed, you need to place the upper portion of the L bracket over the holes with anchors.  

Now place an anchor bolt and tighten it using you drill or any other instrument. Ensure to do this both the brackets. Now, take the precut painted and dried board and place it on the lower part of L bracket. You need to leave 1 to 2 inch overhanging the brackets on each of the sides. Now, from underneath the board, you will need to  insert the wooden screws through the holes on the bracket into the board with your drill and voila your TV wall shelf is ready.

Apart  from making your own TV wall shelf as instructed above, you can also buy a readymade TV wall shelf from your local wood working store or you can get one customised for yourself. A TV wall shelf saves a lot of space and is ideal for viewing and now when you have enjoy watching your TV on you newly made TV wall shelf.
